In preparation for the adoption of the HIPAA Version 5010 electronic transaction standards by January 1, 2012, Midlands Choice’s 5010 Implementation Project Manager has contacted outbound partners regarding readiness to accept and acknowledge test files.
If your organization receives EDI claims from Midlands Choice and has not already responded with the target date by which you anticipate being able to test the new format, please e-mail Diane Campbell, 5010 Implementation Project Manager, with this information as soon as possible.
As required by CMS, Midlands Choice will no longer transmit files in the 4010 format after the 2012 deadline.
