Methodist Women's Hospital, the Omaha, NE, area's first hospital of its kind, will begin accepting patients this month. The hospital is located at 192nd and West Dodge streets.
Full-time hospital staff includes OB/GYNs, perinatologists (high-risk obstetric specialists), anesthesiologists, neonatologists (high-risk newborn specialists), neonatal nurse practitioners, certified midwives, respiratory care therapists and nurses with advanced certifications specific to the area in which they work.
With nearly 300,000 square feet of space, the new hospital has 60 beds for gynecological and mother/baby care, 28 beds in its Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), 18 beds for labor and delivery and six beds for high-risk obstetrics.
In addition to advanced maternity and neonatal care, Methodist Women's Hospital will offer other health services for women of all ages, including gynecology, outpatient lab and imaging, and a Sexual Assault Response Team through the emergency department.
Healthcare providers previously located at Methodist Women's Center at 717 W. Dodge Road have also moved to the 192nd Street location.
Also recently opened, The Bellevue Medical Center is a full-service hospital that houses 266,000 square feet of comprehensive patient services. The medical center includes 24/7 emergency care, obstetrics, inpatient and outpatient surgery, intensive care, cardiology services including cardiac catheterization, cancer services, a pharmacy, radiology and lab testing, as well as 55 private inpatient suites and 47 outpatient beds.
A new 60,000 square foot medical office building connected to the main hospital houses family medicine and specialty physicians.
The center's 22-acre campus is located at Highway 370 and 25th Street, in Bellevue, NE.
