Midlands Choice recently printed its last mass run of provider directories. These will be available at no charge until the supply is gone. We are moving forward to phase out free, printed directories due to:
- Increased usage of our online provider search and custom directory tools, which has tripled since 2008, and
- Significant decrease in demand for printed books.
We will continue to make investments into enhancing our online tools. As always, members who do not have computer access may call us at (800) 605-8259 for assistance with locating providers. If your organization or your employer clients have a need for a large order of printed directories, please contact your Payer Relations account manager to discuss options.
In addition to posting updates in this newsletter, we will be communicating directly with administrators of groups that still order printed directories to be sure they have plenty of time to prepare for this change.
If your employers and members do not yet utilize the Midlands Choice website for provider search or to create custom directories but would like to do so, please feel free to print and include our online help documents in enrollment packets or direct them to these documents on our site: How to Search for a Provider and How to Create a Custom Directory.
