Beginning with the fourth quarter of 2008, provider demographic and fee schedule data that is referenced during repricing will be updated daily instead of weekly.
“While situations are rare where claims reprice incorrectly because of the timing of data updates, eliminating opportunity for error is something we continue to be committed to,” Dan McCulley, director of Medical Economics, said.
For payers receiving provider downloads, the process of sending files monthly to you will continue. We’re evaluating whether this process should be performed more frequently.
