Midlands Choice is in the process of obtaining demographic and NPI data from network physical, occupational and speech therapists. With this information in our provider database, we will be able to accept and reprice claims submitted on an individual bases from these practitioners. Currently they bill under the name of the facilities in which they provide services.
We are requesting responses from therapists in Iowa this month and from Nebraska and South Dakota in October and November. Once we receive their information, we will add it to our provider database and include it in the next scheduled monthly provider file download.
Practitioners will still list the facility name as rendering provider in Box 33 on claim forms. We will also continue to list facility names, not individual practitioners, in our printed and online provider directories.
