CIGNA is undergoing a name change to CIGNA Life and Health Insurance Company (CHLIC).
During the next few months, providers will see the new name on the company’s website, ID cards, Explanations of Payment and other correspondence.
Procedures for submitting claims have not changed.
A sample ID card with the new name is shown below. Because claim mailing addresses and phone numbers to call for benefits/eligibility vary by group, refer to the backs of patients' cards for this information.
