Effective during the second half of 2011, MedSolutions will provide radiology benefit management services for CIGNA nationwide.
CIGNA’s contract with MedSolutions will apply to precertification for non-emergency MRI, CT and PET scans and to nuclear cardiology diagnostic imaging procedures.
Telephone numbers are the same as precertification numbers currently printed on CIGNA ID cards. Callers will be routed to MedSolutions for radiology pre-certification.
Although MedSolutions has a network of radiology centers, Midlands Choice members may continue to use any contracted network radiology facility. For providers who contract with both MedSolutions and Midlands Choice, the MedSolutions contract will supersede.
