CIGNA has published a global maternity reimbursement policy that was effective August 1, 2010, for CIGNA patients and will be effective October 1, 2010, for former Great-West Healthcare benefit plans.
To review the policy, log in to CIGNA's secure site. Click "Resources," then "Clinical Reimbursement Policies and Payment Policies," then "Modifiers and Reimbursement Policies." The updated policy title is Global Maternity.
You may also access the policy for former Great-West members via the Great-West website. Under "Tools & Resources," select "Clinical Guidelines," then "Other Reimbursement and Coverage Policies." Select "CIGNA Standard Modifier and Reimbursement Policies," then log in to CIGNA's secure site.
