Our Network

Midlands Choice is a regional preferred provider organization (PPO) with a healthcare network of more than 50,000 physicians and other healthcare professionals, 342 hospitals, and 2,500 other healthcare facilities. By contracting with Midlands Choice, these providers agree to perform healthcare services at a reduced fee. Consumers with coverage through one of our 46 payer partners have lower out-of-pocket costs for healthcare services when they use network providers.

Service Area

Our core service area includes all of Nebraska, Iowa, and eastern South Dakota, as well as portions of Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. We have operated under the Midlands Choice name since 2001; our organizational history dates to the mid-80s.

Our shareholders are three of the largest healthcare systems in Nebraska and Iowa.
