When submitting claims for patients who are insured through Medica Insure, Inspire by Medica, or Medica with CHI Health, please remember to use the claim submission information found on the member identification card. The payer ID to be used when submitting claims electronically is 12422. Claims for these members should not be directly submitted to Midlands Choice.
Providers who use the clearinghouse Zirmed to submit EDI claims for Medica members should use payer ID Z95382. Zirmed has informed Midlands Choice that Z95382 will translate to the Medica payer ID 12422 and will allow the claims to transmit successfully.
