Midlands Choice sends a weekly provider file each Monday to Medica that includes all new providers, specialty changes, address updates and tiering changes. Medica's turnaround time for entering the information from the provider file into their system varies based on what information has been submitted.
New providers are generally entered into the Medica system within 10 business days. Specialty or tiering updates, as well as information that has to be backdated (such as an address change that occurred prior to the current date) may take up to 30 business days for Medica to enter the changes into their system.
